Life on FF >>

Isn't it funny...? How time just seem to pass by on FastForward. How one time you blink it's 2010, you blink again and realize it's nearly 2014. Having said that, I realize I sound old! This is what my last year employer would warn me about every now and again. Then again, I am turning 30 in March, Ripley's believe it or not.
I even started telling people already that I'm 30, to prevent the shock when the alarm clock on my crap Samsung phone wakes me up to the day it actually becomes reality. So now I'm making it blog-official as well, ha.

I read through the old blogs, and it all feels so distant. Everything in my life is changing like seasons. Memories I recall seem to belong to someone else, like I've watched it in a film. That's why I decided it was time for a blog update.

The two years in London has blessed me with many new friends, and the interesting thing with people here is, they too seem to change in my life as the weather changes season. That's mostly because people tend to only stick around for a short while in London.

I've moved from Kent to Battersea nearly one year ago, and as my sister would put it, "I KID YOU NOT", this year is gone even before I realized it started!  My two near and dear Swede friends in SW are long gone, back in their Kingdom up north. Same goes with the Finns. However, I'm hoping the Germans and Portuguese are stayers! I have no intentions in moving back up north... Maybe one day? God alone knows.

I enrolled for (what seems to be) an interesting course in illustration and book publishing, starting January. Hopefully my great expectations will be met. At least I have a huge inspiration for learning, and getting back on the creativity path: ready for a new season!

Tonight: What ever happened to P-rock event in the best company.

A lot has happened since I wrote, but I won't bore you with too many details. Conclusion: I'm happy, and keeping up the bounce!

C xx

PS. Why is my blog in Finnish....? I can't seem to find how to change that.

STILL ALIVE AND BREATHING

Hiya lovers n haters, you thought you got rid of me?
Na-aa let me tell you one thing, it doesn't happen that easily.

I didn't write for sometime now, and I don't know but...somehow I found myself becoming busy. It's just like time moves faster here. I started working on some book projects, which I hope to finish asap. The first one will be an imagebook about my illustrations and paintings.

To the Finnish and Swedish readers, hang in there! The snow WILL melt and the spring WILL come, it did every year sofar. Hang in there! Cos when it comes you'll see it was worth waiting for... Spring arrived to London now. Man... it's beautiful n lovely. Might I say SPLENDID. Sunshine, warm, flowers n trees waking up. We started to spend most of the days outdoors now.

Hmmm... so what have I been up to? I had my beloved sisters over for a weekend. They came with some news that I defenetly didn't expect!!! Thank God it was a positive surprise. :)

We did some sightseeing, went to TATE modern museum, my favourite surprise was Jenny Holzer, I didn't know they have her work there. Our last supper was at Jamie Oliver's restaurant Fifteen. The food was delicious, I'm tellin' ya! When you visit London, go there if you have time.

Oh, Thank you C for bringing my glasses, now I can see again. PS. That was some propper ni-iice hot chocolate. Probably the world's biggest!

Now I'm off to work! Sorry but I didn't really have time to work with the text n images this time... I'm running late! I'll be back with other breaking news soonest.

XOXO
you know I love you

BRITONS

Words to remember when visiting the UK

  • Thank you
  • Excuse me
  • Please
  • Sorry
  • Cheers
  • Pardon
...do remember to put atleast one of them into every sentence, and you will be alright. If you manage to combine them all in one, you might even make a good impression.

Brits are extremely polite in their speech, which I do find kinda nice. I'm doing my best to keep up! Except for when I'm exhausted and the true Finnish way of not speaking to anyone shines threw. Like the other day... I was walking along the sideway minding my own business far away in the world of my own thoughts. I didn't even notice one woman giving me way, and she did give me a reminder of that a thank you would have been good. M-hm! L&L - Look and Learn. I go along with the motto; Treat people the way they treat you.

Now off for new inspiration from London's saturday cityrush. The nicest thing is you never know what the day might bring you! Laters, near n dear ones!

WEDNESDAY - TOURIST DAY

I just got of the phone with my sister who currently is in London with her family, including K, I and J. I am truly lucky to get visitors of best kind already! Had a short talk with them, got a "Go' natt, Lotta!" from I, and set a date for tomorrow morning. Meeting point; Natural History Museum to check out...wait for it....waaaaait for it..... DINOSAURS! I'm wondering how 3-year old I. can sleep tonight. He sounded happy on the phone though, good to hear! Notting Hill could be nice for tomorrow too... All thanks to my hosts who gave me the day of to be a true turist. I should get a vyƶlaukku for occasions like this. There are actually ppl wearing that around here, believe it or not.

New fresh start, all pages blank waiting to get filled.
Can't wait to get started.

Another thing on the checklist tomorrow would be to find some good art supplies... Got some tips where to search for it, and I'm truly hoping I can find what I need tomorrow. Some fineliners, brushes and a A4 blank-paged book atleast. I do need to get started on some sketches n graphics.

Anyways................These days have just been rolling ahead. I'm kinda getting used to the ways of life around here, since I even learned to look to the right side of the street when crossing. Something to write home about, huh?

All n all, I'm inspired... And I am glad to see there r people reading this blog, you crossed 500 views today. Cheers for that!
